HELLO, MY NAME IS TIM JELTEMA

Hello, my name is Tim Jeltema, and I am a fine art photographer based in Muskegon, Michigan. My photography is focused primarily on landscape and architecture.  I have had a passion for photography since I was very young.  While technology has made it easier to take pictures, capturing the essence of a scene remains a challenge.  

 I am deeply moved by the power of an image to evoke emotions and tell a story.  When photographing, I take the time to contemplate what makes a scene visually compelling. I strive to translate that vision through my lens, a process that requires a slow and deliberate pace. In a fast-paced iPhone world, this method is both challenging and immensely rewarding when everything aligns perfectly. 

 Accuracy and precision are paramount in my work. To achieve the highest quality images, I use medium format camera equipment, allowing me to capture every detail, color and tonal transition with exceptional clarity.  When I process my pictures, I use the best software and practices available, and I strive to make it so that you can see and feel what I did.  When I print my pictures, I use only OEM archival inks and the best archival papers available.
